Biography


Maya is an accomplished singer/song writer who graduated from Rimon School of Music in Israel as well as Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. She has already gained success in Los Angeles by winning awards such as The John Lennon Song Writing competition with her  world music composition “My Country”. Her song "True" is featured on the soundtrack of the PBS documentary movie "The Smith Family", a film by Tasha Oldham. Maya is a creative singer with a soulful, power-filled voice, who brings to the audience a unique mixture of Middle Eastern, Pop, Rock and Israeli styles. Maya’s collaborative work includes recordings with The Yuval Ron Ensemble; “Under the Olive Tree” and “Tree of Life” which are published worldwide. Maya’s love for rock music brought her to work with the Progressive Rock producer Henning Pauly on the albums “ Chain . exe” and “13 Days”.  She also collaborated with Cindy Paley on a children’s CD “Yavo Shalom”.  In 2007 Maya  performed with the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony Orchestra as a featured vocal soloist at the Ford Amphitheatre.
